Look Out Your Window

Our bedroom window faces east, so we capture some beautiful sunrises while sipping our morning coffee (I’ve included a few of those images below). But sometimes when I’m longing to travel, I think blithely back on the views I’ve seen from hotel rooms and car windows, doorways and porticoes, even open tentflaps. So, if you’re suffering from a bit of cabin fever, or are simply up for a little armchair travel, enjoy these window and window-like views of our beautiful world!

  1. lucky you Mich.. gorgeous! ❣️

  2. Beautiful pictures, Mitch. They will certainly inspire physical activity outside of the home! I wonder about the photo with the tail of the jet. Where was the person who took that picture-in another jet that was super close?!

Great shots – and a good reminder. I especially like the tent one and the Seattle one. 🙂

  6. Derusley says:

These are truly gorgeous. The stories these beautiful skies must tell. A vibrant menagerie!!!

So many great shots Mitch! So right, that the beauty all around is often so easily missed.

Thanks, Mitch. Needed that color boost. It’s been a long, gray winter.

A great theme. I enjoyed the varied pics. And thanks for the reminder for us to look out of whatever window is near us. Good advice.

  12. Such beautiful photos. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful and uplifting, we are supposed to have two winter storms hit us in the next few days so I really needed this inspiration

  14. Love the gargoyle! There’s something about those little guys that always makes me smile. Great pix!

  15. Beautiful views, Mitch. They inspire wanderlust though. I think Mike and I need to hit the road.

  16. Wonderful images, Mitch. I love the one of the birds at sunset – just glorious colours. And all the window views are gorgeous, too. ‘Beyond the stone window’ reminds me of a shot one of my sisters took in Devon, UK. I can’t remember the name of the place, but this photo is uncannily similar. I feel like I’ve had a trip around the world now – thanks, Mitch.

  17. Some of these are stunning and from very interesting angles. Great stuff.

This is wonderful, Mitch. Just what my soul (and COVID body) needed!

I wanted to reblog this post, but no reblog button through Chrome or Safari.

How strange, Jennie. I didn’t know the browser used affected available features; the Reblog button shows up when I use my default browser Edge, but I just accessed my blog site using Firefox and the Reblog button disappeared! How frustrating. I’ll check settings and see if there’s a fix, but I’m dubious.

I installed Edge on my iPad… no luck with a reblog button. Then, I tried to install Edge on my MacBook… it doesn’t even appear in the app store. So why do Microsoft and Mac not get along? Sigh! At least I did try, Mitch.
