Living Unafraid

CaptureMy Featured Blogger this week is Terri Nida of Diary of a Quadriplegic. Terri is one of my all time heroes. Like our mutual friend Bill Sweeney (who went to be with his Creator in January), Terri faces life with, and draws inspiration from, the challenges implied in her blog site’s title–and much, much more. Her meditations on hope, faith, and courage have something to say to every one of us.

Oh I did not know about Bill Sweeney. I also used to read his posts. Now He is at peace with the Savior who he so wonderfully represented through his brave faith and writing. Thank you for featuring Terri Nida today. I will definitely be reading with interest.

  2. Thank you for sharing.

Thankyou for sharing a very inspirational & positive post

  4. Thank you for introducing Terri Nida to us. Wow! Terri’s story about gaining the courage to live a full life in a “new normal” through victory with Jesus is powerful. Terri is the kind of person to look at as a “hero” example because she would defer that focus and attention to Christ who enables her to be the woman she is shining the Light of Christ to the rest of us like a beacon on a hill.

Those of us who have to control everything about our lives, at least think we do, Terri has a lot to say to us in word and by example. I encourage everyone to spend some time in her past blogs and get to know her. She has a 7th degree blackbelt in living but a Quadriplegic body slows her down.

Gary – your comment made me smile so big! I appreciate you so much. Thanks for your support and amen that we have such an awesome God because he does all the heavy lifting.

Mitch – thank you so very much for sharing my blog. I wonder how I got so many new followers so quickly! You’ve always been a great support. God bless you.

  7. Very powerful stuff. We often forget to consider how others are faring.

It is nothing short of heroism to tease forth into public view the Godly positives of a bad situation, which allows not only personal gratitude but also communal hope to flourish. Terri is a wonder!

Thank you Mitch for introducing me to Terri. I always say… “It’s a God thing.” When God comes into my life and places others in front of me for me to listen to and hear their story. I pray that Terri finds the right care taker. My youngest has just decided to pursue a career in nursing. Keep listening and checking on our neighbors and friends. This is how we all get through this very difficult time.

What a beautiful, humbling testimony! Thank you for introducing me to Terri. She is someone I need to listen to when I am tempted to whine and complain about how challenging my life is.
