Listen to your Creator

“God will be gracious at the sound of your cry. When he hears, he will answer you…and whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: This is the way–walk in it.” ~Isaiah 30:19-21

    I like this verse. It makes me think when I’m stuck in a decision that I shouldn’t fret over it–God will be with me no matter what I choose.

    A devotional thought I read this morning is like a bookend to your point, Mitch. Oswald Chambers pointed out that taking up the yoke (of Christ) must happen before we can learn from Him—Matthew 11:28-30.

    PS The Sherpas of Tibet/Nepal never depart on a mountain trek until they have obtained a blessing. After that, they say, they can see every step they are intended to take, ahead of them in the snow. When they stop seeing them, they go back and try again another day.

    How true! We always have a choice in life and it’s up to us whether “we will” or we won’t. I don’t always get it right, but I do choose to “will” God’s will for my life. And I’m so thankful that even when I don’t get it right, the Lord will not hold it against me but will reroute my life back onto His path for me.
