A little owl lived in an oak
The more he saw the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard
Why can’t we be like that wise little bird?
~Mid-19th Century (Author Unknown)
“Therefore, beloved,
let us be quick to listen
and slow to speak.”
~James 1:19

be careful! … that thing will bite your face off. 🙂
He’s so cute. 🙂
That must be why owls are wise. Great quote and scripture citation, Mitch. 🙂
Thanks, Nancy.
Nice one, Mitch. That small Owl seems happy under his furry hat. Owls seem wise because they don’t jump to conclusions but think about things for a few minutes. There was a great Horned Owl sitting on our fence a few weeks ago. Nothing going on, just chilling near the bird feeders.
Such a sight.
I have found listening to be a real gem
Mitch.
It’s helped me to think before I speak.
I’m down with quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath.
Everything we need is in our Heavenly Fathers word
awww I love him!
That owl is so cute
🎀 Lovely!
I really like this quote. Thanks Mitch.
My pleasure, Manu.
Food for thought. Great scripture and quote. That owl is so cute. ☺️
Great💚
Timeless wisdom
Perfect! I just wish someone would tell them “who?” so they might stop asking.
