In the Bleak Midwinter

There’s something about midwinter. Perhaps because it’s too cold to go outside, we’re forced to look inside and assess what we see. “Do I like who I’ve become? Is this who I thought I would be?”

January’s vows have vanished

February’s nows are near

What will I make of the rest of my life?

Where will I go from here?

    Love that …. why do we always synchronise the beginning of a year with the beginning of new plans of betterment (is there such a word?). Hope the spring brings you new growth 😀

    Oh… you are so profound. I’m just scrambling to prepare all my tax stuff for our business accountant in the “bleak winter…” Who has time for introspection when the IRS calls? 😉 Ha!
