If You Think This Season’s Hard for You…

Thought for the Week

The holidays are, for some, about present love and past pain. But for others they are the reverse, a time of loneliness and isolation, of only faintly remembered love. I’ve had both, as I’m sure you have. My hope is that each of us would savor our joys this holiday season, find ease in our sorrows, and pray one another through…until there is only present love.

A beautiful prayer, Mitch. Though we all need this, there are so many people who need it desperately in a special way. May the Lord answer this prayer for all.

  12. Cute cartoon! I know a lady who lost her husband on Christmas Eve. She said she felt a little guilty the next day for finding Christmas still so beautiful. But as the years went on, she figured out in her case that she could be joyful and miss him at the same time. I, too, pray that people who have difficult holidays find comfort in their sorrows and increasing joy.

    Mitch,

Yes it’s true. We have to remember who it’s centered around.

    Merry Christmas, Gary

The older I get, the more precious Christmas is to me.

This will be my third Christmas without my mom. But I know that she is with the One who we will be celebrating on Christmas Day. What greater comfort could we possibly have than knowing that our loved ones, who have passed on from this life, are thoroughly enjoying a new life with Jesus!

    Merry Christmas to all!
