All depends on who you’re praying to…
Prayer prevents indecency and wrongdoing.
The all important step one – Holy God, not my will but yours be done; your kingdom come.
Amen, Douglas.
Putting God first in everything makes a huge difference, Mitch!
Indeed, it makes all the difference, Terry!
Truth!
You can change the world if you believe
So right. But “prayer” to the universe (as if it were animated) or to other false gods is worse than useless. God revealed Himself in Scripture and the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ. There are no substitutes.
Prayer works!
is cora from antique works sick
Such a good point—prayer changes people, it’s not our job to change them.
True, Dana. Though we are called to be living examples.
Agreed!
Was looking for a verse for tonight but James 5.16 got me covered. Thankyou Mitchy
My privilege, Viona.
“Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.”—Psalm 141:2, NKJV
“When He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”—Revelation 5:8? NASB
“And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.”—Revelation 8:4, NKJV
Such beautiful images.
Prayer is powerful! It is how many miracles from God occur, because people prayed.
Amen!
