We woke up to snow this morning. So, on the one hand we’ll have a white Christmas. Yay! On the other hand, as soon as I’m done posting this, I have go out and shovel our driveway in -8° weather with a wind chill factor of -31° — the coldest Christmas on record where we live. Um, bah humbug? Still, “the kids” will arrive tomorrow morning and they’ll need a place to park their gift-laden sleigh (the four cylinder automatic transmission kind). So I have to man-up and face the elements. Because, like love, Christmas doesn’t just show-up — you have to make a way for it.

Thanks, Gail. I did shovel today. There’s no more snow projected, but it’s very windy (hence the wind chill factor), so a layer of snow is being added back even as I type this–I’m trusting the ice melt I tossed on the driveway will take care of that.
