We think we understand. But do we? I suspect the main sound heard at the entrance to heaven is not the fluttering of angel’s wings, but the slapping of foreheads, accompanied by startled “Ohhhhs!”
“How great is God–beyond our understanding!” ~Job 36:26
“How unsearchable are God’s judgments, and untraceable his ways!” ~Romans 11:33
“If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?” ~John 3:12
“For now we see but a dark reflection in a mirror; but then, we shall see face to face. For now, we know but little; but then we shall know fully, even as we are fully known.” ~1 Corinthians 13:12

Amen, Mitch! I love this! 🤦🏼♀️
Homesick for heaven!
Glory to God in His Heavenly Kingdom that awaits us. The cynics and the skeptics need our prayers.

I’m doing a study called “Wrestling with Doubt” by Adam Hamilton. This week’s session will be on Heaven. Thanks for the quotes and the slapping forehead image.
My pleasure, Shirley. Re. Royalties: I’ll send you the link to my PayPal account. ;>)
Which gives rise to the idea that the Neanderthals had just come from heaven… They had been hitting their foreheads so much that they got sent back to Earth.

“ He forgives all my sins. He heals me. He ransoms me from hell. He surrounds me with loving kindness and tender mercies. He feels my life with good things.” ~ Ps 103:3-5
Yeah, a lot of forehead slapping for sure. But then the loving embrace 😎❤️
My wide forehead shall serve its purpose 😁

Yes. Job has 42 chapters, Rudy.
chapter 38
Thank you!!!
My pleasure, Maren!
My mother died 3 days ago of a heart attack. Her 89th birthday would have been day after tomorrow. I have been thinking a lot about heaven since then. I’ve had a couple of amazing near-death experiences in the distant past. They were indescribable, really. Truly wonderful. But I’m feeling a little sad now that my mother is gone. We had a very complicated relationship.
So sorry about your loss, Linda, and I get the “complicated” part. Love and prayers.
linda, the beatles says will you still feed thee, when you are how old?

Right, we only see in part for now. The good news is we will see Jesus face to face and live with Him 4-ever and then, we will know those deep and secret things that only our Father sees and knows.
I don’t know about you Mitch, but I’m totally with only seeing partly in this life. I say that because when we fully trust Him we can’t go wrong.
With God on our side it’s a done deal!
can you use you same pen & same page to write from 0 to 100

Yeah, American culture has a lot of strange ideas about heaven, but I envision something like the slapping of foreheads: maybe jaws dropping about six inches in awe and wonder. And great shall be the dropping of jaws!
Fun thought. A lot of red foreheads!
Indeed!
