What if we thanked God for literally everything he’s given us, starting with the hearts and minds and voices to thank him? I mean, heck, everything comes from God, so there wouldn’t be time for anything else! It would literally take an eternity to…
Ohhh, so that’s what they do in heaven!
“In God all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible… All things were created through Him and for Him. Our Creator is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
~Colossians 1:16-17

So true ….
♥️
I hope and pray “all things hold together!” Mitch – I just finished “Surprised by Joy.” I keep turning in my mind the idea of enjoyment and contemplation. I think writing contain those two important elements and that’s why I love writing. Thank you for your posts on Lewis! They have been very helpful to me.
My privilege.
I was thinking on this verse just yesterday. Powerful verse.
Glory to God in the highest! So thankful for his giving me life and forgiving me! Hallelujah!
Amen!
🦋💜🦚🌌🌄 Yes!
Amen. I have become convinced the most powerful weapon in the universe is simply the ability to say “Thanks” to God when circumstances tempt us to curse Him.
Great point once again, Dr. Ernie.
Oh ya…and, I’m gonna be there. My RSVP
I thank God for so many things every day. Everything belongs to him and
It’s so amazing how He gives and provides us with all that we need every day!
Today is a gift, thank God 🙏
Not with my mind, but with my spirit I am asked to pray continuosly by His word. Not an intellectual concentration, nor exegesis of scholarship driving thought. Not with flowery words but with my heart. I listen and pray what I hear. Again, the desert Fathers as three monks visited Father Anthony and many words were spoken. “You come with them every time but never ask me anything” The third monk answered “It is enough to be here with you” Wisdom of the desert fathers by Henri Nouwen
Great quote, Norm.
Thank God for all His glorious creations, for the miracle of life, and for His multitude of blessings.
My thought is gratitude would eradicate a lot of anxiety.
So very true, San.
Can’t wait! Love that picture…
I talked about crossroads in today’s children’s message. Always pray…always be willing to take a different path…stand at the crossroads and give praise and thanks and ask for direction. The children decided to return to the back of the church by a different “path.”
A living metaphor–I love it.
Great idea Mitch! Thank you God for all your gifts and love for us! Janet Oldfield
My privilege, Janet.
Amen! I preach twice a year at our church now, and my first sermon ever was based on 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
