God’s Plan: Hope and a Future

God's Plan: Hope and a Future

Buildings that have been traumatized by storms need restoration. So do human hearts. This year has seen many such storms. There is no greater path to restoration than to trust in our designer and builder. Let us trust the One who holds the blueprints of our souls in his hands. The One whose plan is to give us hope and a future.

“For the LORD Himself goes before you. He will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. So do not be afraid or discouraged.”

~Deuteronomy 31:8

  12. This really speaks to me, Mitch. After a year filled with storms, the reminder that healing comes from trusting the One who knows us completely feels deeply comforting.

  13. Maren says:

Over the many years I am fairly good at this myself, but I am pledging myself this New Year to watch for the signs that someone around me has lost hold of these promises and needs (not to be ‘fixed’ — can’t do that!) just to be reminded.

    Amen. 💕🙏💕

  16. The verse from Jeremiah always speaks to me, also, but within the context. Jeremiah was predicting 70 YEARS of captivity when he wrote that. So it is important not to put the cart before the horse, and realize His plans may not look like what we would enjoy in the next year, decade or even 60 years. But His plan will prevail in the end. Hallelujah!
