Eye of the storm: 1) (noun) Calm region at the center of a hurricane; 2) (idiom) Calm in the midst of conflict or a tumultuous situation
“If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will overwhelm me, and the light around me will be night,’ even the darkness is not dark to you, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to you. For you formed my inward parts; you wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
~Psalm 139:11-14

LOVE this!
Yes and amen.
very nice.
YES!!!! Funny story too-years ago when my husband was in the Air Force. He and some buddies were driving to Florida. Couldn’t figure out why there was literally no one on the road. They pulled over to get gas and a guy there was yelling at them telling them they were in the eye of the hurricane and what were they doing?! My husband and his buddy had no idea they were in the center of the hurricane and drove that way for several miles!
Wow!
My favorite Psalm.
verse 13
What about verse 13 Rudy?
it’s missing
Actually, it’s not missing, Rudy. 11-14 means verses 11 through 14, so it includes verses 12 and 13.
Thank you for this reminder.
Amen 🙏🏽
Love the picture. One of my favorite passages.
This beautiful passage has given me an earworm of the Christian song “In the Eye of the Storm.” I actually like the earworm.
I pray this Psalm daily over someone who has walked away from the Lord – but He hasn’t walked away from her.

Bless you, Annie.
Thanks, Mitch. He does.
Amen!
This is one of my favorite Psalms. Whether verse 1 or 24 and anywhere in between. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure, Sandra.
Amen!
Each of us needs a calm place in the eye of the storm. And we each also need to figure out how to BE the calm in the eye of someone else’s storm.
Very true, my friend.
