The big statements of the seasons are easy to read: fall’s brief blaze of color, winter’s frosted flashes of beauty. But most of the time the seasons, like our lives, are in transition and full of subtext. Yet we’ll find beauty there, too, in the mixed statements and mid-seasons of our middle passages, if only we take the time to look for it. These photographers have looked for and found the subtext in the transition from autumn to winter.

Gorgeous Mitch! ❣️
Thanks, Cindy!
All beautiful reminders of what has past, what is now, and what is to come. Thanks, Mitch!
My pleasure, Kellye. Have a great weekend!
Absolutely beautiful. Especially the pictures you took! Quite an artistic eye there, sir. Thank you for reminding us of the beauty of the transition times.
You’re too kind, Russell. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
Wait ~ you took those pictures?
They’re all gorgeous, but I love the one of Misha. 🙂
Thanks, Lesley. Actually, I hesitated to include that one because it was taken with an old clamshell phone and is super-low resolution!
I’m glad you did take it. It’s so sweet.
These photographs are absolutely gorgeous, Mitch. Thanks for sharing.
Such a beautiful gallery.
The world is an amazing place. Wonderful images, Mitch.
Great compilation of seasonal transition here, Mitch. Enjoyed the view from here.
These are amazing!!
Incredible photography, and I LOVED this: “…most of the time the seasons, like our lives, are in transition and full of subtext. Yet we’ll find beauty there, too, in the mixed statements and mid-seasons of our middle passages, if only we take the time to look for it.” That’s deep – and beautiful!
Thank you!
Stunning photos. Nature!
Exquisite. 😊
Thank you for all the proof that there is wonder even in gray November! You’ve inspired me to be on the lookout for more examples, Mitch!
Happy weekend, Nancy!

My pleasure, Chaya.
What a soul soothing post of the beauty around us during this transition. “Yet we’ll find beauty there, too, in the mixed statements and mid-seasons of our middle passages, if only we take the time to look for it.”…so true, Mitch. I see a very beautiful lady in one picture, too. 💚
Good spotting, Karla.
