We are born in the shadow of death. No one gets out of here alive. But 2,000 years ago, Jesus signed Death’s death warrant.
On the night before his crucifixion he taught his disciples to live in the light of this new reality. Breaking bread, he handed it to them and said, “I am offering myself in your place, so that you might live. Never forget this.” (Luke 22:19–paraphrase)
Shadows have no substance. They are made by the absence of light. It’s your choice whether to live in death’s shadow…
Or in the light.

You are absolutely right Mitch.
Well said Mitch. Happy Easter.
You too, Dennis.
Amen to that! God bless!
Amen and thank YOU, JESUS!!! 🙌🏻✝️🎉

Yes, we MUST choose life! It is the only one that make sense!
Beautiful reminder. Thanks! 😌
Mitch: Thank you for this timely, and so true, post. Great use of creative artwork and excellent writing. The juxtaposition of “shadows” and “light” in this post is just outstanding. I really enjoy your blog, especially the insights into the workings of the movie-making industry (which so few of us get to see). I’m very encouraged that someone of such strong faith is thriving in that industry. Also, a belated “thank you” for following my blog as well. I’m happy to count you among my readers. Happy Easter!
You too, Mike!
Wonderful reminder.

I can’t remember if you follow Laura Bailey, but she posted a must read poem today.
Yes, I do. I’ll check it out. Thanks!
And your posts fits right in! Amen!
Thanks.
Amen! God is so good, Mitch.
What a wonderful Good Friday post, Mitch!
I’m so grateful for the ransom sacrifice. I look forward to the time described at 1 Corinthians 15:26 when the last enemy “death” is brought to nothing and I’ll be able to see my many loved ones that have fallen asleep in death and hug them again. This is only possible because of God’s son laying down his life. Praise Jehovah!
Amen, Heather!
Praise Jesus, the Light of the whole world–not just a few near-perfect saints! Praise God, who makes His Light available to all who believe in his Son! And praise the Holy Spirit, who is always ready to enlighten, help, and guide!
Amen!
Well said. A great reminder at any time of year!
