Courage Is…

“Courage is the greatest of all weapons, but it’s also an invisible one. You don’t know whether you have it until you’re called upon to use it.”

Timely! God showed me last night that the real barrier to Him saving those I love is my own lack of courage….

  6. Yes!! It is a difficult weapon to pick up–because once you do–it seems you can never again put it down, it is required for every moment of every day for the rest of your life. (It’s a good thing God often carries it for me–or maybe He is just carrying me as I carry the weapon—whichever it is—He keeps me going.

  7. Amen to that!

    Once I visited a lady’s luncheon in a chruch as a guest.

Long story short when a lady was standing in front of the live microphone in front of all of the people at the luncheon she suddenly became so overwhelmed she couldn’t speak.

From where I was sitting I couldn’t stand to see a sister in the Lord stand there and not be able to speak. Very quickly, I got up from my seat, put my arm around her and read what the piece of paper that she was holding said.

The amazing, amazing, amazing love and courage that God put in my heart that day was GREAT! I think (based on the reactions I had gotten) that the people at the luncheon that afternoon had never seen God work in someone like that before. The lady thanked me and I felt so happy in my heart to have help her.

It was a great experience Mitch and I’ll never forget it!

Amen Mitch. Once we find it the first time, we gotta continue to use it. It’s like a muscle. It grows the more we use it, the more we challenge it.

  9. K.L. Hale says:

Amen, Mitch! This morning’s service was part II of His Promises—from peace to how not to worry—“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy 1:7–and that all takes courage!! Thank you for these beautiful examples of courage, dear friend. Many blessings!
