Compassion

It’s no secret that this season of love is also (uncoincidentally) an especially hard season for those who feel abandoned and alone. May we reach out to them with our prayers, with our words, and with our actions — in all seasons.

“Compassion asks us to go where it hurts, to enter into the places of pain, to share in brokenness, fear, confusion, and anguish. Compassion challenges us to cry out with those in misery, to mourn with those who are lonely, to weep with those in tears. Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable, and powerless with the powerless.

Compassion means full immersion

    The image reminded me of the little thing hanging in the back of the mouth. Then when I looked closer, it made sense. Really enjoyed your post. Merry Christmas Mitch.

    We can when our power comes from the Lord, inside pouring out. Otherwise what a drain no human can withstand for long. Thank the Lord!
