No matter how we try to avoid them, to paraphrase Jeff Goldblum’s characer in Jurassic Park, “ads will find a way.” So the least they can do is show us a little respect, make us laugh or think, or both, for the few seconds they hold us captive. Those that do, the truly clever ones, win my respect — or at least the creatives who came up with those ads do.

Cute 😉
Awesome!
I love the giraffe light pole but they are all very clever! Thanks for the laugh, Mitch!
My pleasure, Wynne!
The ‘see your dentist regularly,’ got me. Did not notice the missing brow until it was pointed out! Hahaha….
Neither did I!
Very clever! (Although some have a creepiness factor.)
These are great! I’ve used the hulk bandaid ad when we work on visual rhetoric in class. So many of these would work well! 🙂
Great ads!
Spider-Man is the man! 😄😄😄
I ran ads for our rhetoric unit and it was an entertaining means of showing persuasion. There are some fun ones that use satire as well—Nike and Wii Fit come to mind.
Saturday smiles! Thank you!!!
Thank you for the smiles! And gasps of wonder! Admittedly, I’ve never seen any of these~even the K.C. Ad and I’m a MO girl! 😁
!! I love the Royals bilboard.
Love the Jeep add with the sort-of giraffe that becomes a pig when you turn it upside down. I’ve seen similar two-in-one line drawings, but this one is much more detailed and artistically drawn. Impressive! Thanks for a fun brain-break, Mitch!
My pleasure, Nancy! (P.S. I see a penguin when I turn it upside down.)
Looked again–I see your penguin! Perhaps I’ve read the Olivia the Pig story to my granddaughters one too many times. I see the little bovine looking skyward when I turn the giraffe upside down! : )
;>) Either way, imagination is at work!
Thanks for sharing these! I don’t mind ads, as long as they’re clever and entertaining, which these certainly were!
The one on F _ T was witty
Always fun, Mitch.
