Be a Fountain

The way of this world is to take, but Jesus called his followers to reverse that formula, saying, “Freely you have received; freely give” (Matthew 10:8). In other words, we’re called to:

“Be a fountain, not a drain.”

  3. Yes. More fountains and fewer drains! It’s also about doing the right kind of math: add or multiply, don’t subtract or divide.

Beautiful quote, Mitch! Hugs to you for sharing it with us. God wants us to be different from the World. Blessings upon all those who try!

  5. I love “Be a fountain, not a drain”!

  6. Lovely thought and beautiful, unusual photograph. I wonder if we know if we are giving? Thank you.

  7. “Be a fountain, not a drain” sounds like a NeedtoBreathe song, “More Heart, Less Attack.” (“Be the wheel, not the track…”)
    Great minds think alike.

  8. Love this! Needed this reminder! Thank you!

I LOVE HUD! He has been providing unparalleled play-by-play commentary for the Kansas City Royals for over 10 years now, with many memorable “HUD-isms” along the way. Included in those are, “You can’t win a double-header if you lose the first one,” and, “that one was tattered and battered,” and, “The home runs help you get more runs.”
