Are You Madly in Love With God?

Presentation1Artist unknown

There’s an old saying that goes, “If Jesus isn’t Lord of all, he isn’t Lord at all.” Does that sound too radical? Well, you know what, Jesus is a radical sort of guy. But think about it another way: You ask someone to marry you and they say “yes,” and then they go and tell all their friends, “Hey, I’m gonna live in [insert your name here]’s house!” Does that sound like mad-love to you? Because that’s what heaven is, a madly-in-love relationship with God. If you love someone and want to be with them forever, then your focus is on them, not their big, cool house.

I agree with this! We all need to be madly in love with God for His great gift to us! Well said Mitch!

  6. There is one worship song that bugs me, because it has a line that describes the Lord as “a Friend of mine.” I was trying to explain to the worship leader why I didn’t like it. I wondered, if he was out walking with his wife and they ran into an old friend of hers that he’d never met, how he’d feel if she introduced him as “a friend of mine.”
Jesus isn’t “a friend of mine,” He’s the Love of my life!
(In fact, He IS my life. <3 – Colossians 3:4)

  7. Amen! Great sermon packed into a paragraph!

  8. I love this analogy! Let’s be madly in love…He hates lukewarm!

  9. Suma Reddy says:

Lovely truth of faith, yes Jesus the lord of lords n the king of kings is alive n living in each soul of prayer. Amen 💖❤

  10. Great post. I finish my prayers at night by telling God that I love him.

  11. Mitch, Luke 9:23-24 “If anyone comes after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it” love for God isn’t mushy and pretty…Stephen, John, James, Paul…showed their love for Jesus by denying themselves, I pray we would “love” Jesus like that, God bless, Dave
