Sure, humans are unique (philosopher Thomas Aquinas called us part angel and part animal). But not in our need for love and companionship. All creatures seek companions, even loners like cats. Our little cat Misha (who we miss immensely) used to interrupt me throughout my workday for rubs, and to show me things (she had an excellent imagination). We even seek companionship from other species. Some animals like to hang out with dangerous creatures like sharks or alligators…or even humans. Because that’s how we’re made. All of us.

Delightful!
Hmm, but they’re NOT like us. I love the pictures, but a wise man once said, “We are not the only creatures on earth who look up at the stars. But we are the only ones who look up and ask, ‘Why?’” (Mitch Teemley)😉
;>)
How do you know they don’t look up and ask why?
Nice
I absolutely LOVE this compilation! Warms the heart. Have lived with animals all my life. Unconditional love.
The mice in the bread, talk about eating yourself out of house and home!😁
;>)
Oh, Mitch! I did a lot of double takes, ahhh’s, oooohhh’s,…God’s creatures great and small! I can’t imagine our world without animals! *as I sit snuggling with Finley and my granddog, Millie * ❤️🐾
🧡
These are some great pictures Mitch. Thanks for sharing 🤣😎🙃
My pleasure, Mr. Ohh. (Afraid I don’t know your name.)
Mr Ohh! works. But I’m Chris
👍
Just absolutely beautiful, and true, Mitch.
WOW! >>>WOW<<<
This post is amazing!
Just when I decide on my favorite image, the next one becomes my favorite image. 🙂
Oh Mitch!!! This is THE MOST BEAUTIFUL post I have seen in a long time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
🧡 Thank you, my Anonymous friend!
The chipmunks, the beluga whale and the baby!❤
Love them all. Impossible to pick a favorite from these.
Heartwarming! Looking forward to the day when “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.” (Isa. 11:6)
Yes!
I miss my ex partner’s enormous dog, Lucas. He used to take me for a walk.
;>)
As I watched the deer, quail, and rabbits “grazing” together in our backyard today, it struck me that in many ways… animals are better than us.
It does seem unlikely there’s a hell for animals.
Honestly, they are often better than us. We can learn so much from animals.
We certainly can, Jennie.
🙂
I love these images. I wish we could all get along with like these animals.
I counted at least 4 with an elephant and a girl; next thing you know, girls will want to start learning to ride elephants at the soon-to-be-opened grandiose elephant ranch. 🐘
I also especially love Bambi and Thumper in the snow. 💗💗
