Yes, amen! Love is a choice.
I like bumper cars and go carts, too. Ha! Nothing says love quite like crashing cars into one another. for the sheer joy of it all. What can I say, we’re a weird species. 🙂

Yes!!! This is what we share with our readers all the time. A good marriage comes from two people willing to give 100% each to cultivating their relationship. Thanks Mitch—I’m sharing on our blog if you don’t mind.

A friend once told me, “A marriage based on 50-50 is headed for trouble. It has to be 100-100 to be successful.” 😉

Yes. A marriage of 50-50, someone has to keep score. That never works!

Love is a daily choice. Fifty-six years of marriage has taught us that. I like the bumper car idea. It’s often like that.

I have been making that same choice to love my wife every day for 21 years and then some. Commitment, a healthy dose of humility, gratitude and forgiveness. Shared laughter and at times, tears. On point, Mitch!

Thanks, Eric. And here’s to your next 21 years, and your next…

Yes! There is no point at which a marriage can safely go on auto-pilot. Steering has to happen every minute and every day. Thanks for this reminder, Mitch.
