What is it about doorways? As surely as doors have handles and hinges, they have feelings attached, as well. Wonder. Doubt. Hope. Fear. No doorway is ever just a doorway. It’s an opportunity or an obligation. A way into someone else’s life, or a return to our own. A beginning or an ending.

I love these pictures, Mitch. And the quotes, especially what Jesus said. That was one of the verses that brought me to faith as a child, so it’s very special to me. I also love when He said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock ….” When opened, that is by far the most exciting door of all.
I envy you, Annie. I didn’t know that verse (or any other) as a child, but it’s a favorite now, one I regularly reference in prayer.

Our dog Rollo doesn’t like closed doors, so he goes around the house scratching or barking at them until someone has opened every door. I’ve become a door opener for his majesty Rollo.
