The world’s idea of joy is but a reflection. And we cannot live in a reflection. We have to flip it over to see the Source, the place where true Joy lives, continually calling for us to come home.
“This people’s heart has become calloused; they can hardly hear with their ears, they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.”
~Matthew 13:15

True!
“And we cannot live in a reflection.” Thought provoking and true.
Beautiful and hopeful. Thank you!
My privilege, Joanne.
Amen.
The Source! Amen!
Mitch, what really struck me as I read this was the choice we have, to open our heart or shut our heart to the Source! Thank you for provoking me to examine myself.
My privilege, Hazel.

A timely word indeed.

Homesick for heaven
Oh, yes.
You Know.
If I had one wish for everyone on Earth it would be to directly experience Source. To know that they are part and parcel of the overwhelming unconditional love from whence they come. It utterly changed my world.
Joy apart from the Giver of joy sounds pretty shallow and hollow!

Love is always the way.
So true, God is our joy!
Truth!
For many years I tried to find peace and joy apart from God. Then one day, the worst day of my life, He found me and never let go. Praise God! He has given me everything that I looked for in all the wrong places. 🙂
I totally agree!
Wise words! Also true.
