Indeed, the truth of and in Jesus Christ is the true Light which leads mankind out of the darkness. Despite the best efforts of the Devil and his minions, the truth of Jesus Christ will not silenced nor will His Light which His children carry be snuffed out. ✝️🍩

  7. I love the Quaker expression, “I’ll hold you in the Light.” To me, it signifies being surrounded by love and peace. I have taken to using that, rather than telling someone that they will be in my prayers.

Totally my heart’s desire. Lord, how am I doing?

  11. Thanks for this, Mitch. I was in a discussion recently with someone who believes in light and darkness being equal (yin and yang), and I begged to differ. This was the verse I thought of. My translation says “The darkness has not understood it,” but I like to think it also can’t extinguish it.

The Greek word has the same double meaning as our English word “comprehend,” Annie. So it can mean to either fully understand or fully surround (as in “overcome”) something. So, in a sense, both meanings are true.

  12. Amen!
Jesus said: I am the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father but by me. John 14:6.
    Happy Memorial Day Mitch!
