My Featured Blogger this week is Laleh Chini of A Voice from Iran. Laleh was born in the former Iran before the upheaval that led to the current Islamic Republic. She later moved to the U.S. and then to Canada, where she began collecting stories. I am perpetually enlightened and enchanted by her Persian/Iranian folk tales and modern fables.
Laleh has also co-written an autobiographical novel inspired by her mother’s child-marriage to a violent older man, and her own subsequent trials as a ‘too-curious’ teenager during the Islamic Revolution. You’re going to love Laleh’s uniquely inspiring…
