Hey, it never hurts to ask, right?

Oh, Mitch. I love this. I get it. I can’t go into detail, but this morning you, Russell, and many prayer warriors were on my mind. Will you please lift my family in prayer? I’m taking a burden, I’d rather “skip” my own pain; but I told God, “Whatever it takes,…emphasizing WHATEVER. Specifically, my youngest son, Mitch, and his family. With love and blessings, Karla

  2. LOL! Right?! So true. We are supposed to weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn, and there is just no way to do that without empathizing, suffering, and feeling some feelings.

I try to remember Jesus on the cross with His arms spread wide open, bleeding out. That’s sad and awful, but it is also a good spiritual analogy for how we are to position our own selves in the world. Try to keep your arms open, your heart open, and pour out what you got.

Mitch, when I read your post, I laughed and then I realized I was seeing myself, in that request!

I believe this is something we always ask God. and I know he loves to hear our questions

  7. Hey…The bible says” my people have not because they ask not.” His will always is always the final answer…but he tells us to ask!

  8. Well, God knew you were thinking that anyway, so you might as well get it out in the open. Thanks for sharing your very honest prayer, Mitch. 🙂

The eternal debate … should I suffer or should I accept that others suffer? Without adversity then there is no understanding of suffering. That is where virtue signalling comes in for those who live pivileged lives as suffering is just a concept rather than a reality. For as long as I live, I am “paying forward” the debt of gratitude from others and that is the reality of adversity and challenge versus the modern trend devoid of consequence.

Good post Mitch. And very helpful too as I have been bearing a heavy burden with a close friend for a while now. Posting Galations 6:2 was the perfect timing, thank you.
