A New Batch of Kudos!
More kudos have rolled in for our film Notzilla! Or, I don’t know, maybe they took an Uber (I’m not sure whether kudos can roll on their own). At any rate, they’ve arrived and our team is thrilled!
We’re now an Official Selection for the Will Rogers Motion Picture Festival, sponsored by the Will Rogers Museum in Claremore, Oklahoma. And since they only show best picture and best comedy nominees, that means we’re in the running for a bestie (dang, ain’t besties just the best)! Because of their namesake’s legacy as a film comedian (he was one of the biggest comedy stars of the 20th century), the Will Rogers Museum folks put much more emphasis on comedy than do most film festivals (along with Native American themes). Which is cool by us, since we ain’t exactly doing Greek tragedy here. The festival runs for four days at the end of this month.
Also, the Top Indie Film Awards have nominated us for Best Writing (that would be me) and Best Feature (our whole team), and have proclaimed us winners of both the Best Sound and Best Humor awards! The awards are presented thrice yearly to films from all over the world. From these the bests of the entire year will be presented in Tokyo (in early February). So we’re officially in the running for that, as well!

So we’ll deserved! Awesome!
Thanks, Kathleen!
Looks like you better build a bigger trophy shelf.
You and your team have done the work, now it’s
time to reap the awards. Way to go!!
Thank you, Sarah!
Fantastic! Congratulations to you and the team. A case study of persistence and a vision paying off.
Thanks, brother!
That’s the best news, Mitch! Congrats! 👍
Thank you, Mischenko!
WOW–MORE good news! SO excited for you and your team, Mitch!
Thanks, Nancy!
The more I learn about breaking into Hollywood, the more I admire what you have accomplished. I am so anxious to see it. How ’bout trying it for Phoenix next April?
We’ll see, Katheryn. That decision’s not really mine to make.
Gr8 news! Any plans to release the film on DVD?
Later on, yes, but it hasn’t actually been released yet. It’s all about festivals and private screenings right now. Thanks!
Great news! congratulations.
Thank you!
I sure wish some of that would rub off on me.
Trust me, the number of years that passed between my decision to “make movies” and my first feature as a filmmaker can be counted in decades.
I’ve had several shorts go to festivals. I’m currently looking for a producer to commission a screenplay for an Alien Resort feature.
This is wonderful, Mitch! Congratulations!!!
Thanks, Charles!
