Yes, it’s Daylight Savings Time. Again. According to a recent poll, about 75% of our population dislikes losing an hour every spring and regaining it every fall. And the 25% who like it? Well, I’m guessing they’re the same people who get excited when, every spring, the government gives them back (some) of the tax money they’ve paid. Either way, here’s a little something to make you smile through the pain…as you spring forward this weekend.

Yup, nothing like cutting an hour and moving it to make a longer day….wait…never mind. The only thing I like is the Fall Back…because I get to share the old Cher Meme of If I could turn back time 😉 That said, I could live without it 😉

I like it! I hate it getting dark so early. And by the way, I never get tax $ back. 😦

Daylight savings time sounds like a government program, a stupid idea with a benevolent sounding name. I expressed my views last Fall here:https://robertfrohlichauthor.com/2021/10/29/stop-the-madness/

I love the Stone Henge one. Daylight Saving Time makes about as much sense.

Well done, Mitch.

I definitely prefer daylight savings time to standard, but could certainly do without changing at all. As a person with chronic terminal insomnia, however, I am kind of looking forward to springing forward and waking up at a slightly friendlier time on the clock, at least for a little while until my brain makes the switch.

You’re not alone, Sarah. Of the 75% who don’t like switching back and forth, almost half preferred to stay at Daylight Savings Time year ’round.

Wondering how many sent a letter to their state legislators about this back in January when I warned this would happen … again.

Seriously though, why aren’t we doing it at 4pm on Friday? Because that actually makes sense. 😆 I love falling back, but I can’t stand going forward.

Fun Foto Gallery, Mitch. As an amateur astronomer, I find it takes too long for it to get dark (especially around the summer solstice). Anyway, do keep in mind that there’s no real need to spring forward at all, that is, if you’ve got no appointments scheduled prior to the next fall back day (November 6, 2022).

If I were depicted in a meme I would be the combined efforts of a snowbound girl on the scale.

HAHAHAHA Oh man these gave me a good laugh. The Frodo waking up and Stonehenge were my favorites.

Ugh, now I’m going to be tired for an entire week again …

Count me in the 75% who hates it! I’ve tried to talk various churches into moving their service time back an hour each Spring, thereby giving me the same amount of time sleeping in bed I’m accustomed to, but haven’t had any success so far. Not sure why not….makes sense to me!

The one about 4:00 p.m. on a Friday does seem to make sense. I was just glad I wasn’t on worship team today, as I have been for the past 10 years. So I got to sleep in until 7:00!

Time after time. Yep, we live in strange times to be sure.
Thank you,
