  4. Love absorbs the suffering caused by power. This is such a great point by Phillip Yancey. Any of us could be on either side of this equation at some point. This certainly makes me want to be more merciful.

    I love the verse, and the idea behind it, however, I have a question about the Yancy quote in the picture. Is he saying that God gave up His power?
