Three years ago in the thick of the pandemic, my co-producer wife Trudy and I started countering our cabin fever by scouting potential film locations. During these outings we capture images from our beautiful and historical southwest Ohio/northern Kentucky area. I posted a few galleries of these images in ’20 and ’21, and figured it was time to share some of the shots we’ve done since then. Have a great weekend, friends, and maybe even scout a few locations of your own!

A couple of those pictures of Bike Trail don’t look very bike friendly.

;>) They’re alongside the trail, but not on it. I love the graffittied old railway bridge that runs beside the trail at one point.

All look like spectacular locations, Mitch. I’m intrigued by the bee hive (?) in the tree. Around here about all you’ll find in a tree is a Walmart bag. Have a great weekend.

Fabulous pictures, Mitch. In the photo of the Promont bedroom, one wonders how anyone could have gotten a good night’s sleep with all the visual stimulation going on in the room!

That was such a great idea to while away the pandemic shutdown with!

I never take for granted how photography like this can take us to places and people we may never see in person. Thanks for sharing! 😍✨

What awesome pics, Mitch! I have to share something: oddly, I might forget where I put my keys 30 minutes ago but yet, I remember you and Trudy taking this drive! I’m weird that way. Lol. Such beautiful sites to see and imagine in movie settings! But my favorites are the astronauts!

What a gorgeous gallery of photos! You truly do live in a beautiful part of the country and you clearly have the necessary “artist’s eye” needed to capture that beauty. A few of these locations begin to suggest their own storylines, don’t they?

Love Cincinnati. Went to college there and lived in Lawrenceburg for a year afterwards. Thanks for the memories.

That Sorg Mansion & gate reminds me of the movie The Haunting with Liam Neeson. That bike trail is scary looking.

The Sorg Mansion oozes character! The bike trail is lovely, actually, and very popular; the close-ups are of an old (not-in-use) railroad bridge that runs alongside it for a short stretch. I like the personality lent to them by the rotting wood and graffitti.

Ah. Ok. So, the railroad bridge isn’t part of the bike trail. Gotcha…

Mitch, are all these pictures taken by you/Trudy? Wow, what a lot of experiences they represent.

Beautiful, so many neat shots. Perhaps my favorite might be the trunk (limb?) out over the slough with the short step rails.

Yes! I don’t know who took the trouble to nail those planks there, along with the lines for holding onto, but naturally, being an eternal kid, I had to walk all the way out!

Hi Mitch, great selection of photos! Interesting angles. The tree branch with a steps remind me of the book “Separate Peace.”
Thank you for subscribing to my blog.
