As a kid, I learned the 4 Stages of Life from The Wizard of Oz: 1) The Dorothy Stage – When you’re a child a collection of quirky, confused adults will do their best to show you the way; 2) The Scarecrow Stage – When you’re a teenager you’ll have straw for brains, but keep on going because if you do they’ll give you a diploma; 3) The Cowardly Lion Stage – Adulthood is scary, but go ahead and pretend to be brave and they’ll give you a medal for it; 4) The Tin Man Stage – You’ve made it to the final phase, you’re stiff all over and your joints need oiling, but you may just have learned the secret to adulting: “A heart is judged…by how much you are loved by others.”

Ha! Loved this. So true! This final stage is really pretty good as everything is coming together as to what is important and what is not so much. Thanks for the smiles.

I particularly identified with the statement that a meal takes hours to cook, seconds to eat, and days to clean up after the mess. So true!

I’m with Frank…Bob Barker…winning an appliance…and being happy about it? Excitement over a crockpot? Signs, signs I tell you. 😉 Thanks for all of this, Mitch — too much fun for one post! LOL!

Yep, got the box of cables and that kitchen bin looks too familiar!
I love the dog taking himself for a walk. 😀

Oh, these are so funny, Mitch. You’ve really made my day. It’s a drab, cloudy day in the UK, and your collection of funnies cheered me up no end. My favourites; well, all of them, but if I have to choose one, it would be the ‘me trying to hide from my responsibilities’ one with the woman blending in with the highly patterned carpet! My Mum used to have that awful carpet in her living room. It was still there when she sadly passed away. I expect, by now, it’s been ripped up and chucked in the bin where it belongs. I also love the crockpot joke. That’s me to a tee! I love my new crockpot! Thanks for sharing these, Mitch, and for the uncontrollable giggles 😂.

I LOVE this perspective and it’s all so true. I guess I’m finally at the tin man stage. Most days I can barely move lol.
