Want proof that the old expression “Somebody up there likes me” is true? Look below! And while you’re at it, ponder this: the vast majority of close calls are never noticed–not even by the one who’s been saved. In fact, apart from our own efforts at self-preservation, it’s likely each of us has been saved from pain, shame, or death more times than we’ll ever know!

I’m sorry. I had to stop at #9. The ranch latte? Mic drop…done. Spit take, LOL, OMG. When I’ve recovered, I’ll go back to peruse the rest. Thank you, Mitch! 🤣🤣🤣

Yes, I have survived several spectacular close calls. And like you said, Mitch, there have probably been many other close calls that I did notice. These are great!

You have had way more than your fair share of close calls, Lady Q.

Amen to that.

No kidding. I’ve tried to count how many close calls I have survived, and there are just too many. The earthquake… the capsized ship… all the tornadoes, almost close enough to touch… the list goes on and on. My husband is the same way. He has a scar on his forehead from a bullet that ricocheted off his forehead during a battle in Vietnam. A few years ago, a large deer jumped over him while he was riding his motorcycle around a curve. The deer left a deep scratch on top of my husband’s helmet! Whew. If I ever get my memoir finished and ready to publish, I think I will call it SURVIVOR.

Lots of crazy “escapes.” Obviously, God likes Hyundais and Peugeots better than other cars!! 😉

Weiiird… I saw about 1/3 of these, from completely different angles, on BoredPanda today. I appreciate the coin/bullet pic cause they were spread out on BP and my brain couldn’t make sense of them

Yikes! Their guardian angels were quite busy except for the toothbrush guy and a few other non-life-threatening ones. They were probably on their own.

These are remarkable, just amazing; all fifty of them. That creature in the toothbrush had me cringing, along with many of the other clips. I’m rather glad that the red crab got away unscathed, too – that’s the animal lover in me. A great post, Mitch.

My daughter was in the National Guard. She was forbidden to throw a grenade. Scary!

You’re so right, Mitch. We often take these things for granted, adding them up to “luck”.
