Great post, Mitch. Having cared for my mom in her old age, Ashlynn’s wisdom resonated with me. Oh, to be more childlike (and Christlike in humility) in the way we see and care for others.

I remember the humbling feeling of feeding my mom a few times near the end of her life. It was so difficult for both of us, yet I learned somethings about love just doing what needed to be done in those hours.

I agree with barefootlilylady. Wisdom from 5-year-old Ashlyn: “When I’m too big for you to hold, I’ll hold you instead.” Wowza. ❤

Mitch reminded me of the song Forever Young by Alphaville and others! Brad

Love the quotes, but the ones from the children steal the day! “Ugly eyes!” that just says it all! And little Ashlyn’s quote reminds me of a favorite book I read to my kids when they were little. “I’ll love you forever” The grown son is holding his mom on the last page. ❤

I love the quotes from the children! We could learn a few things from children.

Out of the mouths of babes! If we listen to the children our world would be a more peaceful place.

I agree with so many of the comments I’ve read. The quotes are all great, but the kid ones make me feel warm and fuzzy. Annddd.. maybe a little teary-eyed (in a good way). 😊
