Monday Motivation

Thought for the Week

Do you have trouble getting going on Mondays? I know I do. I spent a lovely hour in the mythical kingdom of Planning this morning, but now I find myself in the dull grey land of Doing, and wondering where the exit is.

Here are two things that will brighten your Monday:

  1. This is a Pumpkin Spice-flavored blog post! Really. Just lick the screen. Mmmm… Feel better? I knew you would!
  2. And now here’s a tip that helped first grade teacher Mrs. Clark:

Just Go Poop!I tride this, u guys, an it werks! So don’t forget to poop. It will make u fell rilly good!

What? You say you need still more motivation? Well, Okaaaaaaaaaayyyyy, here are few additional thoughts:

“Life always begins with one step outside of your comfort zone.”
~Shannon L. Alder

“Stop doing what is easy. Start doing what is right.”
~Roy T. Bennett

“The road to success is always under construction”
~Lily Tomlin

“I am driven by two main philosophies, know more today about the world than I knew yesterday. And lessen the suffering of others. You’d be surprised how far that gets you.”
~Neil deGrasse Tyson

“Find a purpose to serve, not a lifestyle to live.”
~Criss Jami

“All great achievements require time.”
~Maya Angelou

That time begins now!

(And don’t forget to poop!)

  6. It’s a shame I’m only reading it now … now that the ugly Monday is done and dusted! But I think I can maybe end the Monday on a good note if I follow your instructions clearly 😄.

Our 2 year old grandson is fighting and aggressive cancer. The chemo backed him up and we’ve prayed all weekend for him to poop. How fitting this was your advice today. I’m happy to say, Elias did it!! And along with that came his smile! I’d say this Monday is a good day.

  13. My biggest problem today was getting our sweet little rescue dog to do her potty business in the rain. We had found her abandoned in stormy weather, so she is terrified of rain storms. A doggie raincoat and me holding an umbrella did not help. After much coaxing and petting and promises of treats, when she finally did her poop, I did a happy dance in the rain! 😀

  14. Is the advice to Mrs. Clark from first grade little Mitch? If so, you showed signs of being an early naturopath.
