My Featured Blogger this week is east coast-born, west coast-dwelling, world-travelling photographer Jane Lurie. I’m new to Jane’s world, but I can tell you this: her work, summed up by this favorite quote of hers –“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera” (Dorothea Lange) — does indeed teaches us to see. Spectacularly, I might add.
“Autumn…the year’s last, loveliest smile.”
~John Howard Bryant
“Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence.
Summer passes and one remembers one’s exuberance.
Autumn passes and one remembers one’s reverence.
Winter passes and one remembers one’s perseverance.”
― Yoko Ono
Wow… great pics!! I esp love the red grape leaves… don’t think I’ve seen those before.

Hi Teree, great to hear from you! Yes, we did see a FIDM story on Beth’s competition winning illustration back then. Something seems to have disappeared in the cut and paste transition above — it’s mostly spaces and lines.
