“Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?” ~Romans 8:35
“For we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.” ~Romans 8:28

I love it! I was trying to reblog this, but my tablet wouldn’t go there. I will try again later on my computer.

I see some truffula trees. I have a thneed already and I think I will try and get a hold of the Lorax. He might lift himself over. We should also contact the Onceler. He would be encouraged perhaps! Norm

You make a great deal of Seussical sense with this one, Mitch. We want to be our own gods but aren’t up to the job.

Mitch, I love it. This was one of my mom’s favorite scriptures and one of my own. I revisited them both yesterday morning before the wedding. And here they are again. The officiating was so special. Thanks for always encouraging. ❤️🙆🏻

This is probably my favorite verse in the Bible. I have read it at many funerals and had it read at my husband’s. It is true!

Trust God. Sounds so simple doesn’t it. I have accused God of giving me the remote on life without any batteries. A great “take” here Mitch.

Amen, brother. When I read the Psalm that says that if I delight myself in Him, He will give me the desires of my heart, I interpret it to mean that God will give me His desires, and that His desires will become the desires of my heart. As I typed that, I realized it’s kind of hard to make that make sense. Hah!

It makes sense to me, Jeff. You nailed it.

Mitch,
He is all He promises and more. Oh, to experience that personally.

This reminds me of a quote I saw this morning, attributed to St. Augustine (but the website might have misattributed it to him):
“If you believe what you like in the gospels, and reject what you don’t like, it is not the gospel you believe, but yourself.”

Great quote, Michael. And, yes, I believe it is Augustine.

The negative ego seems to be a master at separation.. God always includes I wish some Christians would remember that.

There are people that have great visions of what can be done. As long as they recognize God as their sovereign and that He is the one who makes a way, their vision will come true.
