One has to sort out what is bad advice and what is good advice. Given poor input, one gets poor output. Kind of the old saying…GIGO…Garbage in, Garbage out 😉

Love especially Will Rogers. I still treasure the saying of a friend who told me, “If God doesn’t have anything to say then I don’t either!”

Now that IS good advice, Pete.

Whenever some kid asks me for advice on surviving Basic Training my answer is, “Look the Drill SGT right in the eyes and ask if they need a hug. They’ll respect you for it.” Of course, I always follow up with, “I’m just kidding. Don’t do that. Keep your head down, your mouth shut, and do what you’re told, when you’re told, how you’re told. The quickest way out of Basic is to graduate.”

💎 What about THINK!!! for YOURSELF!!! EveryOne; ask YOURSELF!!! why YOU!!! ARE So Easily Influenced; it’s NOT!!! about Being Silent because that is where MisConceptions and MisCommunication Happen, an Opinion is just that, an Opinion…but We Get Pissed Off, hence Conflict, FIGHTS!!! Arguments!!!and WAR!!! yet “ALL is Fair in Love and WAR!!!” ~ Anon; basically, if YOU!!! Keep YOUR!!! Trap SHUT!!! then a Major, Nuclear, Emotional Explosion from Repression and Suppression is Inevitable, is it NOT!!! So 🤔 ?

Mitch,
Yes, Lord guards our mouths. I have many moments without the right words. Two ears on mouth, right? More listening then speaking.
Merry Christmas,
Gary

Each of these quotes supports the elegant wisdom in our design that gave us one mouth and two ears. Thanks for this great reminder.

Another quote in the same spirit as some of those here:
It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt. ~ A. Lincoln

Great quote, often attributed to others, as well. But, giving credit where credit’s due, according to quoteinvestigator.com it was originally said by a man named Arthur Burns.
