Most of us aren’t terribly superstitious, but some people are, and Friday the 13ths are particularly terrifying for them. As for the rest of us, well, while today may be the only Friday the 13th this year, the never-ending pandemic and other disheartening events have steeped many of us in doubt about the future of life as we know it. So maybe it’s time for a few reminders that, to paraphrase Mr. Twain, “our death has been greatly exaggerated.” Hope, kindness, courage, and compassion are still alive.

Love this. I never have been superstitious, but what an uplifting post. My husband opened up last night, and shared the how heavy all this day to day new normal is for him in the workplace. I listened intently, as he is my heart. I just told there is not a more crucial time to pull from the positives rather than the negatives. Love all the pics!

Thank you Mitch for the glorious collection of feel-good stories. Wow! Every newscast needs to end with five minutes of such heart-touching reports. The one that really got my attention: the little girl with cancer that always woke up from her surgeries with a big smile. She looks very much like our middle granddaughter.

Thanks for sharing this, Mitch. My daughter was supposed to move into her new apartment Friday the 13th (yesteray). After cleaning the kitchen for two hours, she found fleas in the living room! So now she’s back to a room at a friend’s house. Maybe I’ll send her these to cheer her up. 😉
