“Just as when we were children, we were afraid to be alone in the dark and could only be assured by the presence of someone who loved us. Well this is exactly what happened on Holy Saturday, the voice of God resounded in the realm of death. The unimaginable occurred; namely, love penetrated Hell.”

I love those greeting cards from Inherit the Mirth. I would stand in the card department laughing like a hyena, and my daughter would be in another part of the store, pretending not to know me.

Don’t know if I’ve seen those, Annie.

The 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th ones are all from those cards. I couldn’t tell you what the greeting was inside them, but I recognized the artist. I think my favorite of all of them was the one showing Jesus and His disciples in a boat. Jesus is at the bow, looking ahead, and one disciple is dancing with castanets in the back. Another disciple says, “No, you idiot, He said ‘cast the nets’!”

So I snorted on these….and sadly, snorted watching Monty Python and The Holy Grail two evenings ago. And he died for me! And you! And what a tremendous and amazing God we serve. Blessings to you and your lovely wife on this blessed weekend!
