Thought for the Week
“Have you ever wrestled with God or your conscience over a choice you were afraid to make? For what it’s worth–and it’s worth a lot–God gets that. He’s been there (Matthew 26:39). And yet that single decision, the most difficult anyone has ever made, resulted in the greatest good anyone has ever accomplished.” ~The Wishing Map

None of the verses in Matthew 26, or any of other the chapters in Matthew, say that, Rudy. There is a verse in one of the Psalms that says “Create in me a clean heart.” Can you find it?

Our choice to move here to Austin was hard but now with my daughter being diagnosed with breast cancer God placed us where we belong. This journey may be hard but we listened…not necessarily for our own reason but thank God we listened.

Thankful too, on your behalf, Suzanne. How’s your daughter’s treatment going?

Diagnosis only last week. It is the least aggressive type but doesn’t show up on a mammogram (which she had last month) so we don’t know staging yet or treatment. Prayers are a blessing.

We just don’t hear enough about this in an era of misguided “cheap grace”. Thank you. I wrestle pretty much daily with both the Lord and my conscience, and I have the broken hip sockets to prove it — hahaha!
