Thought for the Week

“Have you ever wrestled with God or your conscience over a choice you were afraid to make? For what it’s worth–and it’s worth a lot–God gets that. He’s been there (Matthew 26:39). And yet that single decision, the most difficult anyone has ever made, resulted in the greatest good anyone has ever accomplished.” ~The Wishing Map

“Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” ~C.S. Lewis

“Knowing what is righteous is in the parallel universe to do what it takes.” ~thediaryoflife.com

“Character is the moral strength to do the right thing even when it costs more than you want to pay.” ~Michael Josephson

“Better to fail at doing the right thing than to succeed at doing the wrong thing.”       ~Guy Kawasaki

“The power of one man or one woman doing the right thing for the right reason, and at the right time, is the greatest influence in our society.” ~Jack Kemp

“Doing the right thing for someone else was like a tonic for me; it was like some magic ointment that made a wound disappear.” ~Susie Bright

  6. Our choice to move here to Austin was hard but now with my daughter being diagnosed with breast cancer God placed us where we belong. This journey may be hard but we listened…not necessarily for our own reason but thank God we listened.

We just don’t hear enough about this in an era of misguided “cheap grace”. Thank you. I wrestle pretty much daily with both the Lord and my conscience, and I have the broken hip sockets to prove it — hahaha!
