Thought for the Week
“The wounds of a friend are faithful, but the kisses of an enemy are lies.” ~Proverbs 27:6
Is there someone who regularly disables your ego defense system, who knows the “unimproved” version of you and likes you anyway? Hold onto them! ~The Wishing Map
There are great thoughts here. In out disposable culture, we are too quick to disregard a friend.

When both sides of a marriage are “Scots-Irish” the wounds of a friend are many. ROFL

I had a friend who cared enough about me to “stab me in the front.” I am forever in his debt.

Mitch…. There are two lessons we can learn when a friend wounds and betrays us. The first is they may see something we don’t and for our own good are giving us advice we may not agree with at the time, but in the long run later it was just what we needed. The second is a matter of forgiveness as in the case of Job who had three friends with not the best advice, yet when Job prayed for his friends God blessed him all the more. (Job 42:10-12).Have a Blessed day!

Mitch,
Yes, a critique at least is giving feedback.

People that will tell you the truth to your face are few and far between. Great Post—Good Advice. Oscar Wilde really had a good take on that concept. Blessings and Peace.

There is a lot of truth offered here. As hard as it is to hear, we all need the unvarnished truth from our loving critics.
