Shaking my head.
But don’t worry, I’m wearing a mask. ;-D

What’s funny about that is that every time I put on my mask to go into a store I feel like saying I’m not here to rob you. I’m just looking around…. 🙂

If things continue the way it is going the day may come when people will be able to have their “new position” of unemployed honed so good they may forget what employed is.

Geez. Nice compassion there, LinkedIn.

Oh, well, those social media stereotypes…

In their different ways, the LinkedIn boner and the S. Killy (?) cartoon are hilarious.
Would have thought there were no longer any computer professionals naive enough to make the kind of mistake exemplified by the boner. Am pretty sure it is indeed a consequence of a programming mistake (not a nasty dig), partly because I can remember when such mistakes were fairly common and partly because of the principle that one should not attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.

Oh, yeah, just the magic of one-size-fits-all programming parameters.

I may want to adopt this as a catch-phrase (with proper attribution, of course!): “One should not attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.”

Dunno who first said it. Have seen it a few times.

Origin is unknown, but it’s known as Hanlon’s Razor (a play on Occam’s Razor). https://www.bing.com/search?q=%E2%80%9COne+should+not+attribute+to+malice+what+can+be+explained+by+stupidity.%E2%80%9D&cvid=9ad14766f3b44f8c835aef2e2dd6315e&pglt=43&FORM=ANNTA1&PC=U531

Mitch. I don’t know what to say about you sometimes. Could you imagine a ring at your front door and a character in a mask with a gun saying, “Give me your toilet paper or your life?” That cartoon is one of those things that make you go hmm….

Great cartoon which doesn’t make unemployment any easier. It took my daughter 2 1/2 years after the 2008 crash. A little luckier this time but that can change any minute. Keep finding the cartoons.

It can indeed.

Is robbery a suggestion for a new position? Not sure I’m up for the task seeing as how I don’t like guns but if I get desperate and give it a try, I’ll let you know how it all worked out 🙂

Great, if not, remember you’re allowed one call from jail.

What frightens me is the thought of how many restaurants will go under this winter if we haven’t found a vaccine or a treatment by then.

Yes. And even then that will take months to implement.

My LinkedIn friends got a notice to congratulate me on my new job at ‘retired’. And I got a few congratulatory messages.

Hmm, I’ve heard the pay scale is very inconsistent at Retired Inc.
