My Featured Blogger this week is Precious John-Adeyemi of the blog site Good and Loved. Precious is a Nigerian law student whose studies can get in the way of consistently posting, but who keeps at it due to a love for sharing–and, I might add, a heart that shines through.
I might normally have waited a little longer to introduce you to Precious, but I haven’t seen this wonderful modern parable in a decade or so and couldn’t wait to share it–and Precious–with you!
Today, Iβll share a story I came across on Twitter which I found to be revelational and inspiring. I pray in reading it, your eyes will be opened to the wonderful price that was paid for your redemption.
A certain Professor of Religion named Dr. Christianson taught at a small college in the Western US. He taught the required survey course in Christianity at this institution. It was required for students to take this course in freshman year regardless of their major.
Although Dr. Christianson tried hard to communicate the essence of the gospel in his class, he found that most of his students looked upon the course as nothing but required drudgery. Despite his best efforts, most students refused to take Christianity seriously.
This year, Dr. Christianson had a special student named Steve. Steve was only a freshman but was studying with the intent of going onto seminary forβ¦

I loved this story! I had tears in my eyes, probably because I was a teacher, and it’s such a thrill to have that “Eureka!” moment when you know that what you’re trying to communicate gets through.
