Sunny Winter Movie Fests!
Our feature film Notzilla is in the running for awards at two more festivals!
The Florida Comedy Film Festival is one of America’s most prominent comedy movie fests. Which is sort of up our alley since Notzilla ain’t exactly a dark family drama, although–plot spoiler alert–a mama dino does die tragically off camera while protecting her eggs in the opening scene!
Notzilla is in the running for Best Feature (our whole team), as well as Screenplay and Director (me), plus Acting and Cinematography. It will screen in early February, just days after it appears in Tokyo (dude, those giant monsters cover a lot of ground!). So better make your airline reservations now! Azure Lorica’s Fan Film Awards are, as the title suggests, for movies inspired by other sources, in our case both old American monster movies and films featuring a certain plus-sized fellow of the Japanese persuasion. The festival, sponsored by Azure Lorica magazine, will be held in late February in Pasadena, California, so you’ll have time to soak up a few more rays in Boca Raton before jetting off to the left coast!
We’re in the running for the same array of awards as Florida, but with a twist: These awards are appropriately selected not by the usual panel of movie industry judges, but by the fans themselves! If you live in or near SoCal, click here to find out more!
