I’d love to know the meaning of life. It sucks being suicidal.

I have been there (suicidal) several times. I just prayed that you will know the joy of the Lord, and receive the strength to carry on.

I’m sorry you had to go through that too.. I hope things will get better for us all! Thank you so much Kate!

Praying with Kate (above), Alfiano. I’ve been there, too. There is light at the end of the tunnel. A little about my journey: https://mitchteemley.com/2017/03/17/my-epic-of-anxiety-3/

Thank you Mitch and Kate! Also, thank you for your powerful testimonies. They are a big encouragement and adds hope to us. I appreciate it!

Glad to hear it, Alfiano. We’ll continue to pray.

it doesn’t really matter if you know the meaning of life. I am fresh out of the zone. The only thing that brought me out is the feeling I had to stay. I wanted to stay. Look at the other side of the feeling. What would I be like if I just manage to cross this line.
I have written about this extensively on my blog too. I do pen down daily rants on my blog everyday. I have written 96 till yesterday and will continue to do so.
Regarding the theme of your writeup, this is what I have written whiile I was deep inside this shit!

Knowing the meaning of life matters a great deal. But clinical depression, which you may be dealing with, can hide the joy of knowing our Creator. Praying for you, my friend.

I am well out of it pal! 🙂 Thanks for the wish though. I am just trying to tell this to everyone who comes my way now. Clinical depression is severe.

I love this too, and I often repeat it to myself, as a reminder of why I was created. I think this reflects the mind of Christ. Thank you for sharing this with us! 🙂

I, too, was taken by surprise when first encountering the Westminster Catechism, especially the part about enjoying God forever. I wouldn’t have blinked if the framers had chosen to conclude their statement with “love God forever” or “serve God forever.” But “enjoy?” Now I realize the abundant, life DOES rest on a foundation of rejoicing–in the character and works of our God (John 10:10; Philippians 4:4).

Exactly, Nancy! Not some stately, engraved “Love,” but all-out, joyful love between God and his creation!

Knowing the only true God AND the one whom HE sent.. ever wonder who God is? This clearly states that 2 people we need to get to know. If you have an older king james you can learn who his is at psalms 83:18. Learning about his purposes and his will will allow us to glorify him. http://www.jw.org has a ton of free material on depression and suicide as well. Hope you will enjoy this free resource.

To anyone reading the above comment: Please note that it is from the Jehovah’s Witnesses, an organization that teaches that God the Father and Jesus Christ are two separate gods. They teach their followers that they alone accurately interpret the Bible, and to support that claim, they created their own translation (disputed by virtually all biblical scholars) in order to support their interpretations.

They can take your word for it or do research also. 🙂 have a great day.

On another note anyone that wants to study the bible may do so in any version. Our version put Gods name back where it belongs. Where it was taken out. Anyone can research that as well. We like for people to use their god given thinking abilities.
