Sprinter is Here!

‘Round now we’re all pining to revel in spring

But seasonal timing’s no guaranteed thing

Transitional days like these are un-scenic

Thermometers glaze and turn schizophreenic

So stop being moody and “so over winter”

Put on your hoodie and celebrate sprinter!

  2. Not sure that spring is really here yet. True there are crocus, Daffodils, tulips around but no winter buds breaking open yet. Love the picture.

Perfect word. What is sad is feeling warm when it is 35 degrees, because of the drastic cold we had.

Sure, go with Wring and you won’t go wrong.

      • Or maybe Wringer. That’s Spring with Winter on both ends. Here in east central New Mexico, where the high desert meets the high plains, we’ve been having more Wringer than anything. Just last week, we had an “imminent extreme alert seek shelter now” tornado warning, and the very next day we had a bomb cyclone with close to hurricane force winds. All Day Long.

During the first week in March we had one day with highs in the upper 70s, followed by a day with a high of 23, a low of 10, and 2″ of snow, followed by a day in the low 70s.

        Wringer, definitely.

  10. Oh boy, I want to like this, but I’m not sure I can. I do appreciate the use of the word Sprinter, however, since I enjoy running almost as much as I enjoy these early bipolar days of spring.

That’s a good attitude, and practical, too.
