What a lovely commemoration of love! I especially like the part, “mend each other’s broken wings”.

Your wife must be thrilled with her birthday gift! Who could ask for anything more?

Dinner out, ballet, art museum…

That is one birthday gift that is sure to fit, that will never go out of style,
and best of all, it will not chip, break or tarnish.
Happy Birthday to your wife.

…in a flippant mood…of course, you are a writer. I’m just projecting my own insecurities via an attempt at humor that one should never attempt with “strangers” but then, I don’t think we’re strangers. Siblings of wonderment.

Beautifully put. Besides having a spouse who gives the gift of poetry, your wife is also blessed to observe a birthday on the only date that is also a command: “MARCH FORTH!”
LikeLiked by 2 people
;>) Sort of. There’s an even scarier command at the start of the month: March First (“But what if I get shot at, sir?”)
