Drive-by open-casket viewings premiered in Pensacola, Florida, 30 years ago, but have only recently become a national trend.
I haven’t been to one (and don’t plan to), but I imagine it’s something like:
“Hi, and welcome to McDeath. We put the fun in funerals!
“Right, uh, I’d like to see my cousin Ernie.”
“I’m sorry, he was cremated.”
“Oh, well, can I see the ashes?”
“Sure. Would you like fries with that?”
