Maybe I’m taking your poem too literally, but you aren’t kidding about the sultry and blazing this year. If I didn’t know better I would have thought someone transplanted me back to Florida! Yet when summer is gone — the jacket-free days of grilling, early morning quiet time on the deck, trips to the water park with our granddaughter — we’ll comment as we always do, where did it go? Of course, you said it MUCH better!!

  3. You wrote about my garden. How do you know? You were not here. Great poem. Thank you for the visit again and like my new post. I read Thomas Merton’s writing this morning.

  4. I also read Thomas Kelly (193-1941). In A Testament of Devotion, he said, “Deep within us all there is an amazing inner sanctuary of the soul….. to which we may continuously return…”
