No Tears in the Writer…

Rob't FrostI sobbed when I wrote the climactic scene of my new screenplay* this morning, and was completely caught off guard by how it ended, so…

Don’t let me down, Robert!

  1. I had a scene in my book that just broke me up. I could hardly see to write I was crying so hard. Delighted to read that quote by Frost.

Good luck with your screenplay 🙂

Great news re the screenplay, Mitch, and please keep us posted. Otherwise, downunder in the Antipodes, we mightn’t hear much.

And I totally agree with Robert Frost. However (and not wishing to cast a dampener, so to speak), I teared up a couple of times when I was working on my novel, but most people seemed to think it was (and I quote) “great fun”. Even the publisher said to me. “I didn’t know how seriously I was meant to take it.”

Which goes to show there’s nowt so odd as folks.

Wow, Tout (sorry, don’t know your name-name), I had no idea you lived at the edge of the world where “there be dragons”! I will try to keep you all posted as things develop. I understand your frustration since I too live (as a writer) in that zone between “fun” and “meaningful.”

Having had the privilege to hear the outline of your screenplay, I can affirm the story WILL touch people’s hearts–big time. If YOU–who know the story so well already– experience that sense of awe and wonder in the climactic scene, think what will happen when the element of surprise is added. God has big plans for this film — I feel it in my spirit!
